(Portland, OR)  --  After months of speculation, Washington's Department of Transportation has named the date for adding two new Amtrak round trips between Seattle and Portland.  On December 18th, It will add early morning and late evening Cascades trains.  It will also move all Amtrak trains on that route to the faster Sound Transit Point Defiance Bypass between Tacoma and Nisqually.  The trains will also move to a new Tacoma Amtrak station at Freighhouse Square Shopping Center.
