OR GOP Lawmakers Aim To Throw Out Gun Law

(Portland, OR)  --  Three Oregon Republicans are trying to overturn the state's anti-suicide gun law.  House members Bill Post and Mike Nearman and former House candidate Teri Grier are gathering signatures for their "Say No To 719" initiative.  Senate Bill 719 prohibits Oregonians from owning guns or ammo if they are considered at risk of taking their own lives.  It is set to take effect on January 1st.  The politicians reportedly have until tomorrow to fill up the petition and force a repeal vote next year.
