Beaverton School Cancels Halloween Parties

(Beaverton, OR)  --  A Beaverton elementary school is putting an end to Halloween costume parties.  Scholls Heights Elementary School Principal Monique Singleton sent out a letter to parents on Wednesday saying they're cancelling their annual Halloween party this year and that students and staff won't be allowed to dress up in costume.  Singleton says they'll be having a harvest party instead.  She says some parents told her the Halloween parties conflicted with their beliefs and that she wants the school to be more inclusive.
