Girl Hit By Car After Running Into Street After Dog

(Portland, OR)  --  A Portland girl is recovering from injuries after being hit by a car while trying to save a dog from being hit.  Police say the juvenile girl ran into the street at Northeast Sandy Boulevard and 138th Avenue yesterday morning to save a dog that had run into the road.  That's when a car crashed into her.  Police say she's expected to be OK, and the driver who hit her is cooperating with investigators.
