Rain Raises Concern For Landslides Near Eagle Creek Fire Site

(Cascade Locks, OR)  --  Recent rainfall is raising concerns over landslides in areas burned by the Eagle Creek Fire.  The U.S. Forest Service says flooding and landslides are possible, especially in the areas of Eagle Creek, Tanner Creek, Moffett Creek, McCord Creek, Horsetail Creek and Oneonta Creek.  Residents in Cascade Locks held a community meeting yesterday to discuss the danger of landslides.  Another meeting is scheduled tonight at 6 o'clock at Hood River Middle School.
