Rain Causes 23,000-Gallon Storm Water, Sewage Spill

(Portland, OR)  --  Officials are working to clean up a major storm water and sewage spill caused by yesterday's downpour.  Authorities say 23-thousand gallons spilled into the Willamette River at the Southeast Alder Pump Station at Alder Street and Water Avenue yesterday.  City officials say the pump station was already scheduled to be shut down for an upgrade later in the month.
