(Portland, OR) -- A Portland police officer is stepping down after pleading guilty to official misconduct. Christian Robert Berge pleaded guilty yesterday. Prosecutors say the 46-year-old unlawfully and knowingly performed an act with the intent to obtain a benefit between August of 2015 and last May. There's no word on what that benefit was. The ten-year Portland Police Department veteran was sentenced to 18 months probation and 120 hours of community service. An internal review is ongoing.
