(Salem, OR)  --  Oregon's second-largest Medicaid carrier has agreed to a contract extension. FamilyCare was expected to shut down by the end of this year, but will now operate until January 31st.  This gives more time for over 110-thousand clients to transfer to another health carrier.  FamilyCare failed to agree on a contract with the state for 2018.
