(Los Angeles, CA)  --  Governor Kate Brown is blasting President Trump's extension of oil drilling.  Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke yesterday proposed five-year leases for exploration of off-shore oil reserves in many areas which have been closed to drilling since the mid-1980s.  Brown was quick to condemn the plan, issuing a joint statement with California Governor Jerry Brown and Washington Governor Jay Inslee.  The statement calls the idea a reckless threat to the coastal environment.
