(Washington, DC) -- Representative Earl Blumenauer is among a growing list of lawmakers planning to boycott President Trump's State of the Union address. Blumenauer is joining Representatives John Lewis of Georgia, Frederica Wilson of Florida, Maxine Waters of California and Pramila Jayapal of Washington in skipping the January 30th speech. Jayapal joined the boycott yesterday, citing "racism and hatred" coming out of the White House. The boycott follows recently reported remarks by the President in which he allegedly used an expletive to describe Haiti and countries in Africa.
