Oregon Woman Sentenced For Embezzling From Alaska Tribal Group

(Anchorage, AK)  --  An Oregon woman is facing more than a year behind bars for stealing hundreds of dollars from a Southeast Alaska Native tribal group.  A judge sentenced 64-year-old Delia Commander yesterday to 18 months in prison.  She's also being ordered to pay restitution of nearly 300-thousand dollars.  Commander pleaded guilty to embezzling that sum from the Skagway Tribal Group between 2010 and 2014.
