(Portland, OR)  --  An investigation is under way into a four-alarm fire that destroyed several businesses in Southwest Portland.  More than 100 firefighters responded to the Macadam Center on Southwest Macadam Avenue last night after employees in a call center there noticed smoke coming from an elevator shaft.  There's no word yet on just how many businesses were destroyed.  Investigators are looking into how the fire started today.
