(Pendleton, OR)  --  The family of a rancher killed in an Oregon standoff is suing the government for more than five-million dollars.  The wrongful death lawsuit filed in federal court yesterday claims LaVoy Finicum was shot "assassination style" by state police and/or the FBI as he tried to cross county lines.  The complaint filed on the second anniversary of his death names the United Sates, the FBI, Oregon State Police, the Bureau of Land Management and others.  Finicum, an Arizona rancher, served as a spokesman for a group that staged an armed takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in early 2016.
