(Portland, OR)  --  The Beaverton Police Department is launching an investigation into whether one of its officers engaged in racial profiling.  Department officials announced the news yesterday, citing department policy to investigate all allegations of misconduct.  Police were searching for an African-American robbery suspect last Thursday when they stopped and questioned Reginald Liggins at the Beaverton Transit Center.  Police say Liggins was wearing a beanie similar to the one seen on the suspect.
