(Portland, OR)  --  A 14-year-old boy is injured after being hit by a car on his way to school in Vancouver.  Police say Gabriel Carpenter was in a marked crosswalk near Alki Middle and Chinook Elementary schools Monday morning when a driver struck him.  The driver was not speeding but tells police the sun got in his eyes.  Carpenter was taken to a hospital and is now recovering at home.
