Controversial Former Google Engineer Speaking At PSU

(Portland, OR)  --  A controversial former Google engineer who was fired following his release of a sexist memo is scheduled to appear in Portland tomorrow.  James Damore will be speaking at Portland State University.  He was invited by the student group "Freethinkers."  Damore made headlines last year after writing a ten-page memo to Google staff in which he claimed that women are biologically ill-equipped to handle certain roles in the workplace.  He has since filed a class-action lawsuit against Google after they fired him for the memo.
