(Portland, OR)  --  A Hillsboro man is facing more than a decade behind bars for pushing his girlfriend off a balcony.  A Washington County judge sentenced 27-year-old Jordan Adam Sutherland to just over eleven-and-a-half years in prison.  Police arrested Sutherland last September for the incident in August.  Sutherland's girlfriend suffered a fractured spine and a large cut to her head in the fall.  Sutherland claims he was trying to save the woman from killing herself.
