(Portland, OR)  --  Students attending Portland public schools will get a full week off for Thanksgiving during the next school year.  That's one of the changes enacted last night by the Portland Public Schools board as they voted to approve their new calendar.  Board members say the new calendar also maximizes the number of full school weeks and eliminates late starts and early releases.
