(Portland, OR)  --  Hundreds of Portland-area students are expected to walk out of class today to protest gun violence.  Students across the nation are planning to walk out of their classrooms in honor of the 17 people killed in the Parkland, Florida, school shooting.  District officials tell KATU they support students who plan to walk out and they're taking extra precautions to ensure their safety.
