(Portland, OR)  --  Students at dozens of Portland-area schools are calling for an end to gun violence.  Hundreds of students from schools across Portland, Beaverton, Vancouver and Salem walked out of their classrooms yesterday morning.  The walkouts were part of a nationwide initiative to honor those killed in a mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida, by calling for better gun control.  Students ranging from elementary school to college age participated in the walkouts.
