(Portland, OR)  --  Wildlife officials say they've put down a cougar that killed a deer in Silverton.  The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says they trapped and euthanized the cougar Sunday morning.  Officials say the cougar became a public safety risk after several people reported seeing it inside city limits.  The cougar reportedly killed a deer in a Silverton family's back yard sometime last month.
