(Vancouver, WA) -- Three people are safe after being rescued from their sinking boat on the Columbia River. Coast Guard officials say a man and two women called for help Saturday night after their boat started taking on water near the Port of Vancouver. Coast Guard crews pulled the group to safety, but the man reportedly jumped back in to try and save his sinking boat and had to be rescued a second time. The Coast Guard says crews will salvage the sunken vessel in the near future.
