(Washington, DC)  --  A bill supported by two Oregon lawmakers to legalize the growth of hemp in the U.S. is moving forward.  Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, along with Democratic Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley of Oregon, introduced the Hemp Farming Act of 2018 on Thursday.  It would legalize and clearly define hemp as an agricultural commodity.  It would also remove hemp from the list of controlled substances.
