National Park Service Modestly Raises Fees

(Washington, DC)  --  Fees at Crater Lake National Park are going up slightly.  The National Park Service said Thursday it plans to raise entrance fees to national parks by around five-dollars next year, with some parks seeing an additional increase in 2020.  The plan applies only to the 117 national parks that charge fees.  The National Park Service had originally called for more than doubling fees during peak season at 17 popular parks, but it backed down on that plan due to negative public response.
