(Portland, OR) -- The family of a man shot and killed by police inside a Portland homeless shelter is lawyering up. KATU-2 reports federal civil rights attorney Andrew Stroth is now representing the family of 48-year-old John Elifritz. His team at the Chicago-based Action Injury Law Group reportedly specializes in issues of police shootings, brutality and excessive force. Police shot and killed Elifritz inside Cityteam Ministries Portland Shelter on Southeast Grand Avenue April 7th after he allegedly failed to drop a knife police say he was holding.
