Cold, Wet Weather Leads To Surge At OR Ski Resorts

(Mt. Hood, OR)  --  Cold weather and precipitation are leading to perfectly powdered slopes at Mt. Hood.  The cold, wet weather of winter and spring has blessed the Cascades with a snow cover of unusually good quality.  Operators at Mt. Hood Meadows says they got more than a hundred inches of snow in late February and they're expecting more today.  Cross-country skiers at Timberline were cheering more than ten inches of new snowfall over the weekend.
