Man In Mental Health Crisis Wounded During Shootout With Police

(Beaverton, OR)  --  A man in a mental health crisis is wounded after a shootout with Beaverton police.  Authorities first responded yesterday morning on reports of a man in a mental health crisis near the intersection of Farmington Road and 148th Avenue. Police tried to negotiate the situation peacefully, but the man shot at officers and they returned fire, wounding him. Police started medical treatment at the scene, then the man was taken to the hospital. No word on his current condition.
