(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland State University board of trustees has voted to increase tuition.  In an 8-to-5 vote yesterday, the board agreed to raise tuition by just under four-percent beginning next fall.  The tuition increase is ultimately less than the five-percent previously proposed by the board, which had led to student protests and threats of strike.
