(Portland, OR)  --  Police are releasing the identity of a hit-and-run suspect who was killed in a head-on crash on Interstate 84.  Police say 59-year-old Christopher Gene Cannard struck a Ford Mustang last week on Thursday night and then fled the scene.  Officers tried to pull him over on Northeast 99th Avenue a short while later, leading to a chase in which Cannard drove into oncoming traffic on I-84 and crashed head-on into a Toyota Prius.  Cannard was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other two drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
