Former Portland Employee Gets $165K Golden Parachute

(Portland, OR)  --  A former Portland employee, fired for budget reasons, is getting a pile of money for finding the door.  "OregonLive" reports that Bryant Enge was given 165-thousand-dollars severance when his job was eliminated in order to save money.  A spokeswoman says the elimination of the position was done to save money "over decades, not just this year."  Enge was the director of the defunct Bureau of Internal Business Services.  Duties performed by the bureau were farmed out to other departments.
