KKK Fliers Distributed In Medford

(Medford, OR)  --  Police in Medford say they're not getting involved after KKK recruitment fliers were distributed to several residents.  The "Mail-Tribune" reports that residents found plastic bags in their driveways Sunday which contained a piece of candy and a flier from the United Northern and Southern Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.  The piece of paper claims the organization is "non-violent" and "peaceful," and indicated that they are "looking for like-minded" members.  Medford police Lieutenant Justin Ivens said the language is protected by the First Amendment.  He said the department would not get involved unless there was some type of crime associated with the fliers.
