(Portland, OR)  --  An elderly woman is dead after being hit by a car in Southeast Portland.  Police say the 87-year-old woman succumbed to critical injuries in a hospital after the crash in the 16900 block of Southeast Division Street Tuesday night.  Police say she was crossing Division Street when a 30-year-old man in a Jeep Cherokee struck her.  The driver reportedly stayed at the scene to cooperate with police.
