OR Lawmakers Pass Biz Tax Cuts

(Salem, OR)  --  The special session for the Oregon legislature is a short one.  "The Oregonian" reports that Governor Kate Brown's tax cut bill for small businesses passed floor votes in the House and Senate yesterday afternoon.  The bill will provide lower tax rates to sole proprietors, just like larger businesses enjoy.  Brown called for the special session earlier in the spring, saying it was a matter of fairness.  Yesterday's vote wrapped up the work in a single day.
