(Portland, OR)  --  The world's largest diamond miner is investing 94-million dollars to build a new synthetic diamond production facility in Portland.  De Beers announced this week it will start a new jewelry brand that features diamonds produced in a laboratory.  The brand "Lightbox," will offer synthetic diamonds at a fraction of the price of diamonds mined from the earth.  Jewelry form the brand will go on sale beginning in September.
