Animal Control Reunites Lost Pets With Owners After 4th Of July

(Portland, OR)  --  Animal control officers are working to reunite lost pets with their owners following Wednesday's Fourth of July fireworks shows.  Multnomah County Animal Control Officer Taffy Burrell tells KATU she and other officers were out visiting local animal hospitals yesterday to pick up pets that ran away from home and got lost during the noisy fireworks displays.  Burrell advises those who have lost pets to try posting on Craigslist and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.  She says she's reunited several pets with their owners by looking through the Craigslist Lost and Found section.
