(Yakima, WA) -- More hops are growing across the U.S., including in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. The "Capital Press" reports that nationwide hops acreage are forecast to be up four-percent this year, even as the craft beer industry slows down. The three northwest states produce nearly all the hops used in making beer in America. Washington grows the lion's share, at 71-percent, while Idaho accounts for 15-percent and Oregon tallies 14-percent.
