(Portland, OR) -- A 57-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly pistol-whipping a man in the head on Portland's inner east side. Police say the victim was sitting in a car near Northeast 6th Avenue and East Burnside Street Saturday night when Juan Lopez broke one of the car windows, reached inside and hit the man in the head with a handgun. He then allegedly fired off a shot before fleeing. Police arrested him in a tent near the scene of the assault and booked him on a charge of second-degree assault.
