(Portland, OR)  --  Many Portlanders are reportedly referring to their city as Portlandia, according to the New York Times.  The Oregonian reports that the mention came in an article about the weekend protests, which also outlined the city's history.  TV's "Portlandia" may have prompted many in other areas of the country to refer to Portland with that nickname, but residents seem to differ.  Most of the responses to the Oregonian article left the impression that Portlandia is an Eastern myth, not embraced in the Pacific Northwest.
