(Portland, OR)  --  Two people are dead following a small plane crash near the Baker City airport.  Police say the plane crashed near Lindley Road and Interstate 84 Saturday.  The two people on board were pronounced dead at the scene.  Police say the plane had departed from Caldwell, Idaho and they think it was on its way to Baker City when it crashed.  An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
