(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Police Bureau is launching a new database for tracking bias and hate crimes.  The bureau says the database is open to the public and will be updated every three months.  Authorities hope the new database will help increase transparency while encouraging the public to increase their reporting of such crimes.  The database can be viewed on the Portland Police Bureau's website.
