Ruling Expected Monday In Battle Over 3D-Printed Guns

(Seattle, WA)  --  A ruling could come Monday in the legal battle over 3D-printed guns.  U.S. District Judge Robert Lasnik in Seattle is expected to decide whether to extend his order blocking a Texas company from publishing plans for the plastic guns.  The judge called it a "tough issue" following a hearing yesterday.  He also said he believes it should be resolved by Congress and the executive branch instead of the courts.  Nineteen states including Oregon and the District of Columbia are suing over the federal government's decision to allow the distribution of 3D gun blueprints online.
