(Portland, OR)  --  A Republican lawmaker from Louisiana is calling for Ted Wheeler's job.  Senator Bill Cassidy introduced a resolution yesterday calling for Portland's mayor to resign over his handling of recent demonstrations at the downtown ICE office.  The resolution follows Monday's blast from President Trump that Wheeler's decision to not have the city's police force help customs agents was shameful.  The Oregonian reports that Wheeler issued a statement yesterday, saying he wants a president he can be proud of.  The mayor also denied that he kept police away from the demonstrations.
