(Portland, OR)  --  A woman is facing charges after allegedly trying to kidnap a 6-year-old girl in southeast Portland.  Police say 25-year-old Stephanie Romero approached the girl while she was playing tag with friends at an apartment on Southeast 92nd Avenue Sunday evening.  Romero allegedly told the girl she was her mother and then took her by the wrist, saying she was going to take her to a nearby bike trail.  The girl reportedly escaped and ran back into her apartment, but Romero allegedly followed and told the girl's grandmother, "I wanna take her, I wanna save the kids."  Police say the girl's mother arrived home shortly later and punched Romero, prompting her to flee with several items she'd picked up in the apartment.  Police arrested her nearby a short time later.
