(Portland, OR)  --  Hood to Coast is getting a new chairperson following accusations of sexism at this year's race.  Hood to Coast announced last night that the daughter of race founder Bob Foote will be taking his place as chairwoman.  Felicia Hubber also holds the position of race director.  The move follows news that race organizers failed to acknowledge the top-finishing women's team during Saturday night's awards ceremony, even though they acknowledged the top finishing men's teams, high school teams and walking teams.  Runner Emily Pritt says when she asked Foote why the women weren't recognized, he told her to, "Go talk to someone who cares."
