(Salem, OR)  --  Unsafe beach water could put a damper on Labor Day weekend.  The Oregon Health Authority is warning people of elevated bacteria levels in the water at Cannon, Nye and Agate beaches.  They say the likely cause is fecal matter.  It's not clear if those advisories will be lifted before the holiday weekend, but people are advised not to have any contact with the water until it's deemed safe.
