(Beaverton, OR) -- Colin Kaepernick is helping Beaverton-based Nike celebrate the 30th anniversary of its "Just Do It" campaign. Nike confirmed yesterday it's struck a new deal with the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback to be the face of their new ad campaign. Kaepernick took to Twitter yesterday to post a picture of the new ad, which features his face with the text "Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything." Kaepernick already had a deal with Nike that was set to expire, but it was renegotiated into a multi-year deal. Kaepernick began a wave of protests by NFL players two seasons ago, kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racial inequality.
