(Portland, OR)  --  The Department of Homeland Security is confirming Senator Jeff Merkley's accusation that President Trump siphoned money from FEMA to fund ICE arrests.  The Washington Post reports that Merkley made public a Homeland Security document Tuesday which details the reallocation of nearly ten-million dollars in public funds.  The money reportedly came from FEMA programs aimed at preparation, response and recovery associated with hurricanes.  A DHS tweet confirmed the reallocation but said it did not affect emergency response.
