(Portland, OR)  --  Police are searching for a man accused of hitting a jewelry shop worker over the head with a hammer while robbing the joint.  Police say the masked man walked into The Jewelry Buyer on Northeast Sandy Boulevard with a gun yesterday morning and demanded cash and jewelry.  He then allegedly took out a hammer and hit the employee over the head with it.  The employee reportedly did not need to be hospitalized.
