(Undated)  --  A new report says Beaverton-based Nike considered ending its relationship with Colin Kaepernick a few months before making him the face of its new Just Do It campaign.  The New York Times reports Nike executives weren't sure they wanted to continue having the former San Francisco 49er as one of their endorsers.  Nike's head of communications, Nigel Powell, argued that cutting ties with Kaepernick could lead to negative response in the media and with consumers.  Kaepernick's been with Nike since he came into the NFL in 2011.
