Burgerville Breach Prompts Class-Action Suit

(Portland, OR)  --  A Portland lawyer is seeking class-action status for a breach of consumer data at Burgerville.  OregonLive reports that the suit filed Wednesday alleges that Burgerville didn't protect their customers' credit card information.  Thousands of people may have been affected by the data breach, which was discovered during a cyberattack in August but not revealed until this week.  The Vancouver-based chain says they learned about the breach at the time, but had to keep it under wraps until they could fix the problem, which was done on Sunday.
